PORT BARTON
Port Barton is protected Bay with panoramic view of various islands and islets in the front and mountains covered with virgin forest in the background. Relax the peaceful place for all types of water sports activities, jungle trekking to waterfalls or wild watching at the mangrove river. Port Barton is the jump-off point to the many white sand islands surrounding San Vicente. In the middlemost portion of the beach, there are various beach cottages/resort with rooms and facilities for rent and restaurants. Some also offer diving courses, and internet café. Port Barton is the main transport hub of the municipality servicing boats, buses and Jeepneys from Sabang, One of the Nature Wonders of the World Underground River and Puerto Princesa City in the south and El Nido in the north.
Other attractions in the area include Pamuayan Falls, a three and half Km hike through a dense forest. View different species of plants and animals along the way. Pamuayan Falls drops 15-17 meters into a natural pond surrounded by palm trees. Various species of butterflies and dragonflies can be seen within the falls vicinity. Begaho Falls 15 minutes walk from the Begaho Beach.
Mangrove Rivers are mangrove reserve areas in Port Barton and are accessible by small boat. Monkeys, monitor lizards, mangrove snakes and birds are common sightings in the area.
